Principal Purpose of Job
An opportunity to work alongside the Partner and Associate in our clients Birmingham office to service existing agency instructions and to shape and grow this important area of their local and national business. Additionally, to support other areas of the office’s business including valuation instructions. To build upon and expand the current instructions/client base at local, regional and national level.
Specific Duties and Details of Actual Work
To actively market existing agency instructions and to seek new instructions for the acquisition or disposal of property by sale or lease, at both local and regional level.
To provide advice to clients on matters related to the sale, lease and acquisition of properties, also to undertake commercial valuations and other areas of general practice surveying which the Birmingham office covers.
To provide professional advice to clients in their strategic consideration for the use of buildings.
To actively ‘network’ around the Birmingham and West Midlands market.
To forge good working relationships with our clients agents in other offices.
Qualifications/Experience
. MRICS qualified is preferred not essential
. Practical understanding of commercial property and agency procedures.
. Strong verbal & numerical skills and adept at report writing.
. A team player with an out-going persona and excellent communication skills.
. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary.
. Ability to work under pressure, manage time and assist the team in meeting deadlines.
. Commercial acumen, knowledge of competitors, business strategies / tactics.
. A current, full driving licence is essential
